Danz Choice completed a mid-summer double over 5f but had no problems with this trip at Lingfield last time so should get competitive along with Another Claret, who looks certain to improve over this longer trip and makes his handicap debut from a lowly mark. Saint Jerome won a Salisbury maiden on soft ground and has competed at a much higher level subsequently while Salutation was only just behind him in the lucrative Weatherbys Insurance Stakes at Doncaster and is 4lb better off. Martial Art has shown enough promise to be considered and Secretinthepark had subsequent winner Darkening behind when making a winning C&D debut though that was on fast going. Lingfield winner African Oil tackles this sort of ground for the first time so this can go to HAATEFINA. Mark Usher's filly wasn't far behind Group 3 winner Maureen on her second start before scoring over this trip at Sandown. Her latest run at Newbury should be ignored and she can get back on the winning trail.
