In a very competitive event, we will side with Karminskey Park with any number of the others up for consideration. Looking at a few of these. Brantwood has plummeted in the ratings in the last 11 months but a return to his form of a year ago would give him a chance and he'll act on the going. Quick's The Word can be given a chance based on last summer's form. Smirfy's Night looked very decent two years ago until injury set in, and he's been absent now for 640 days. Playtime Blue has been running well from his current mark and his stable is in good form. Sholto is six pounds higher in the ratings now for his course and distance win last year, which gives him a bit to do. Guns Blazing can be given a squeak now that he has had his pipe-opener for the year, and Irish import Brigadier Monty, can't be discounted if getting back to his best Irish form. Pulse, Taboor, Karminskey Park and Marabar also have to be placed into the mix given their current ratings and weights for this race. Overall, though, we like Karminskey Park, who has had a pipe-opener for the year, goes on the going and is among the better drawn from horses we were looking to consider. It is very competitive though and many of these have decent claims, but Karminskey Park is put forward as the one to beat.
