Verdict

AFSOUN is likely to be a warm order here although is unlikely to have an easy time of things with Oh Crick in the line-up. Nicky Henderson's charge has spoilt his chance by getting worked up before his races in the past but he's a hurdler out of the top drawer on his day as he showed when finishing third in the Champion Hurdle in 2007. There was talk of his chasing career starting last season so he's sure to have been extensively schooled and, all being well, should be hard to beat. Doctor David was a useful hurdler who should make up into a chaser and he shouldn't be taken lightly but Oh Crick has surprised everyone with his level of progress and rates the main danger. He produced an excellent performance behind Poquelin at Cheltenham and will win more races but it's difficult to see him getting the better of Afsoun today.
