Verdict

This looks wide open but bottom weight Alberto's Dream is on a long losing run and Shanroe Santos isn’t getting any younger either. Goodnight Charlie is a regular here but also in the veteran stage now. Another Emotion has gone up 6lb for winning at Wetherby but was second off this mark last season and appears to hold Ecossais on the form book. A winner over 3m here, Danseur Du Large has been racing over shorter trips since scoring over 3m2f at Fontwell in October. THE MANUSCRIPT lacks consistency but is useful when in the mood as he was at Market Rasen at the beginning of December. He’s handled these tricky fences well in the past so is fancied to defy a 12lb hike in the ratings. Ladronne is improving with experience and also warrants a second look
