        Verdict

        This looks a wide-open handicap but Throng must have a chance off bottom weight, though it’s a long time since he got his head in front. Flash Burn has won three times over a mile, including over track and trip last time. The Rising Legend could have his cause boosted by a 3lb claimer but NORDIC REBEL is a course specialist who was in peak form when last seen at the turn of the year. Randall Simons’ mount beat subsequent Turffontein runner-up Indy Go here in January and is actually 6lb better off with the top weight. Skiminac can’t be ignored but Shogun is having ba first run for a new yard.
