Grenfell has had enough chances now and so is passed over in favour of Dickie Lewis. The selection has put in two disappointing runs of late, however his stable is in better form now and he is the tentative selection in the hope of some revival. He absolutely dotted up in this race twelve months ago and if he did so again today, it could be at equally rewarding odds. Star Time is the other course and distance winner in the field and will appreciate the ground more than most so could be in the mix-up, whilst Good Potential is consistent so could run into some place money. This isn't the best of races though, and so we tentatively return to last-year's winner Dickie Lewis to make it two years on the trot.
