Verdict

There may only be four runners in this but it’s an interesting contest for the time of year. Mister Miyagi won by five lengths over track and trip on his chasing bow before enjoying a solo around Market Rasen. Monbeg Legend also made a winning start over fences, at Ludlow, before finding Jaleo too good at Worcester. However, both are conceding weight to GOLDEN BIRTHDAY (NAP), who has developed into a very useful dual-purpose performer, winning four times over hurdles and twice on the Flat as well as a bumper. If he takes to fences, he could prove a smart novice. Pointer Fair Exchange looks to have a lot on his plate.
