There have been signs recently that LORUM LEADER is no back number. He paid the price for trying to match strides with the well-treated Sona Sasta at Taunton two runs ago but was beaten less than six lengths when fourth at Market Rasen last week and is very well handicapped nowadays. Open De L'Isle should strip fitter for his third to Lease Lend over an inadequate trip at Wetherby but just as interesting is Supreme Plan, who was running well in similar company in the autumn and is probably still on a decent mark. Zed Candy has been in good form on the all-weather but his lack of experience over fences is a major worry in this.
