      In depth

      Verdict

Calomeria, Marjina and Princess Grec are the three to consider here and preference is for Emma Lavelle¿s top weight Marjina. Princess Grec never seems to run a bad race, doing well over fences towards the end of last season after a successful spell hurdling. However, she is not at her best on this type of ground and it is her seasonal reappearance so she is overlooked. Calomeria comes here with the benefit of two previous runs and hails from a yard in form. However, she has not shown much so far this season and although she looked potentially top class two years ago, she hasn¿t progressed. Emma Lavelle has her string in great form and she has had a couple of winners making their seasonal bow. For that reason Marjina is likely to be fit enough to do herself justice here. She was very consistent before getting her head in front on heavy ground at Chepstow where she finished well clear. She can take this.
