Verdict

SUNSET SHOWDOWN ran a stormer on his first start on heavy ground last time when just outpointed by Tobefair in a Pertemps qualifier at Cheltenham back in October. He hasn't been seen since which is a slight concern but Rebecca Curtis has her string in good heart at present and therefore he is a chance worth taking. The drop in trip is not a concern. Heavy conditions have never been a hindrance to Clyne as his latest excellent effort when second at Chepstow at the Welsh National meeting clearly showed and he seems sure to go close in the forecast conditions once again. Point Of Principle probably needed it last time but Flowery remains of real interest off this current handicap mark whilst Theo's Charm needs to put a strangely muted performance last time well and truly behind him.
