Verdict

SUPER VILLAN ran in the Champion Bumper when last seen and although well beaten he sets a good standard so has the call ahead of Jonjo O'Neill's newcomers Palace Jester and Cruising Bye. The form is rock solid from the champion bumper with the selection finishing within a head of one subsequent winner and beating home another. Prior to that run he had looked progressive in two strong looking races and if running up to that form he should be the one to beat. Palace Jester was an expensive purchase for powerful connections and is related to winners in this sphere and over obstacles so should give a good account. Jonjo's other newcomer is Cruising Bye and he should be better when sent jumping but has a chance in this line-up. Soleil D'Arvil seemed to get the hang of things late on during his debut and we can expect him to come on for the run but Super Villan has really good claims.
