Backers will take note of how Maizy Missile performs in the opener on the card as Marie De Laufon was narrowly beaten by her over course and distance in a similar contest when last seen in July but she is now 7lb higher and a better bet looks to be HOLLIES FAVOURITE, who can gain a well deserved first career success. The Louise Davis-trained gelding has been running consistently well of late and looks worth siding with having dropped to a fair mark. Michael Chapman's Galley Slave has been harshly punished by the handicapper for his win at Cartmel and now looks too high in the weights, while Kate Walton's Royal Flynn is closely matched with Galley Slave and should be thereabouts again. River Rhapsody is lightly raced and has to be respected but Hollies Favourite gets the vote.
