Verdict

Best Boy Barney won over a shorter trip here last month but was well beaten off today's mark at Worcester subsequently. American Legend didn't do himself justice when favourite at Worcester last time and remains capable of better but was behind Calusa Star over track and trip on his chasing bow. The latter then unseated his rider when beaten at Market Rasen in a race in which Alta Rock also failed to complete. Big Sound had every chance at Hexham last time and is in danger of becoming disappointing. TALES OF MILAN, a winner over hurdles in Ireland, looked in need of his first run for Sarah Humphrey at Fakenham and performed accordingly. He'll strip fitter here and should be thereabouts with a clear round. Moss Grove won at Newton Abbot on Monday but looks worth opposing under a penalty.
