Verdict

Newberry New is still 7lb higher than when successful at Catterick in February but Billingsley is thrown in on his best form, though appears to have lost the plot. The returning Destin D'ajonc and Keep Rolling could figure in a race like this but Do It For Thy Sen was well beaten off his new mark on his reappearance. Frenchy Du Large didn’t get far on his fencing bow and may struggle to give the weight away to a couple of chasing debutants. WILL STING has been keeping better company over the smaller obstacles. He should stay the extra if taking to fences and is preferred to Southwell winner Brummie Boys.
