In depth

Verdict

Holly Walk can land this weak contest at the expense of Fleetfoot Mac, Lady Gerona and Armentieres. On the strength of his latest effort when second to A Bit Of Fun at Doncaster with the third well beaten, Holly Walk should almost certainly go one better today. The Juckes' filly failed to win on the Flat during a busy campaign, but has showed enough since being sent over hurdles to stick with. She took on Listed company at Wetherby in October in, finishing a creditable sixth to Calomeria, and that form alone stands out. Fleetfoot Mac is going the right way, while Lady Gerona will be found an opportunity by her astute trainer, and that pair make more appeal than Armentieres who has been a little disappointing of late. Holly Walk has the best form overall and gets the vote.
