In depth

Verdict

Kingscourt Lad can land this weak seller at the expense of Kingsbury and Dante's Diamond. The selection drops in grade here after competing with credit in novice events. His form reads well enough as he was good enough to win a novice at Doncaster in December and ran well with a penalty when fifth of sixteen in a tough race at the same venue last time out. He will only have to repeat that form to land this. Kingsbury is another that drops in grade here but does not possess the same level of ability as the selection. Having said that some of his form does read well and if raising his game a fraction he is a live contender in such a bad race. Dante's Diamond won a seller on the level at Wolverhampton last summer and has run with credit in a couple of hurdle races since. However he refused at the last in a chase when weakening last time out and that gives no confidence to punters wishing to give him a chance so he is possibly best watched. So for the winner we return to Kingscourt Lad.
