Verdict

Etania has won over hurdles and fences this year but is probably better treated over the smaller obstacles at present. Urban Gale won in a higher grade at Cartmel in August but could find today's going too lively over a shorter trip. Sgt Bull Berry couldn't cope off his new mark at Kelso 11 days ago while Solway Bay looks to be in the handicapper's grip and Lost In Newyork has had plenty of chances. Bishophill Jack was only fourth in this last year and hasn't been seen since. ALTA ROCK (NAP) finally took advantage of a tumble down the weights at Sedgefield last month. He's 4lb higher in this more competitive affair but still isn't badly treated on past form so gets a tentative vote.
