Almagest weakened out of contention disappointingly quickly on debut but was a very decent sort on the level and remains of interest. REGAL DIAMOND was a useful bumper and novice hurdle performer in 2013 and was heavily supported on reappearance in an Aintree handicap hurdle, suggesting plenty of ability is still there after a year off. He's well worth another chance now dropped in both class and trip and fitted with a first-time visor. Alco Sivola is also interesting after an absence of over a year whilst Solstice Star and Paddocks Lounge are noted in an opener in which all have some sort of question mark against their name.
