In depth

Verdict

CHEMICAL WARFARE was a ready winner at Newcastle in May and while two efforts over hurdles have been ordinary, he’s worth another look now back over the larger obstacles. Arbennig has become more consistent following wind surgery and scored comfortably over course and distance in June. Twistedfirestarter has a second start for David Pipe and a market check is advised. Gouet Des Bruyeres is possibly at his best on genuinely good going so connections will hope further rain stays away. Striking Out ran too badly to be true at Worcester and can do better tonight.
