In depth

Verdict

Jamie Insole's opportunities have been few and far between but he did steer Fred Le Macon into a remote third at Exeter in March off a 5lb higher mark. Paul O'Brien partnered Polstar to victory at Ffos Las last week and again claims 7lb off the penalised top weight while Speed Check has proved a consistent sort at this level, though possibly over further. Ullswater and Ted Dolly are starting to look well handicapped but the former was last in two of his three runs last year and the latter is on a downward curve. SUPERNOVERRE (NAP) couldn't match the finishing speed of Baraboy over course and distance last month but the winner has scored on the Flat since so that was no disgrace. Only 3lb higher, he's preferred here to Mix N Match and Worcester third Modeligo.
