The 13-year-old Mighty Fine has been in the form of his life of late winning four of his last five starts, latterly in convincing fashion here over an extended 2m4f when showing no signs of stopping, and he is taken to defy his latest penalty and score again at the main expense of Lilac and Colonel Frank. The last mentioned is more than capable of taking a hand in the finish but Brendan Powell's gelding may just be a shade high in the weights at present so he looks best watched. Point has been in good form of late but struggled off his new mark at Hexham last time, while Francines-Boy would probably prefer a faster surface. Seymour Weld looks to be out of his depth in this company, while Ar An Shron is less exposed than most of these but needs to improve on recent evidence. Lilac would have every chance on the pick of her form but Mighty Fine is hard to oppose on recent showings and he is preferred.
