Stakes should probably kept to a minimum in this with very little worthwhile form to go on. Lee Edwards won on Mujamead over today's C&D last July but the gelding has finished tailed off in his last two starts over fences. Echo Dancer was a close-up fourth over C&D two runs ago but Special Cuvee disappointed at Exeter after finishing second at Chepstow and SIR CLAD looks a better bet. He followed up a good run at Stratford with a close-up fifth at Hereford under today's pilot, who takes off a handy 5lb here. Claire Dyson also saddles C&D winner Nono Le Sage but, like Duke Of Burgundy, he might need this.
