In depth

Verdict

SHANTY ALLEY may have pulled up the last twice but in much better races than this. He has a decent record around here and is possibly the one to beat on seconds at Wetherby and Newbury at the end of last year. Yccs Portocervo may need this but it’s interesting to see bumper and hurdles winner Spanish Present make his chasing debut in a handicap while Feivel is back in the right grade. Duke Of Deception looks a bigger danger, however, having bounced back to form at Huntingdon last month.
