Verdict

Richie Valentine hasn’t done a lot wrong since landing a novices’ handicap at Plumpton in April. Cawthorne won easily over course and distance in May and an 8lb rise looks manageable on that evidence but Rock On Tommy is making his debut over fences having only won a seller over hurdles here last month when both the market leaders came to grief. The going was probably quicker than ideal for GOSUATRI at Sedgefield and he came up short in his hat-trick bid. There has been some rain here over the last couple of days so conditions shouldn’t be a problem this evening for Jonjo O’Neill’s charge.
