    Verdict

Seymour Weld gets a tentative vote over Mariday, with Where's My Baby and Barton Gate two others worth a mention. This is a very poor contest and one which should be within the scope of Seymour Weld who was good enough to score twice in similar company last year. Both of those wins came on good ground, and although not seen since disappointing on much softer going at Stratford in October, he would not have to be spot on surely to take a big hand here. Mariday has yet to open his account since going hurdling, and the switch to the Pipe yard has not brought any significant improvement, while Where's My Baby has shown nothing, but at least he is lightly raced and is dropped in grade. Barton Gate and Gollinger are both past their best, but any market support for the former should be heeded. All in all, this looks best left to Seymour Weld, although only a small wager is advised.
