Verdict

Smooth Classic blundered his way around Plumpton last time but was still beaten less than a length at the post. He needs to improve his jumping but there are possibilities about Chepstow third Mister Wiseman and he makes more appeal than Wait No More, who hasn't raced since runner-up at Fakenham in the autumn. Hexham second ON GOSSAMER WINGS stays this longer trip on good ground and has dropped to a decent mark. He can lift his yard, which has been in the doldrums lately, with a victory here. Winston Churchill has also been knocking on the door lately and may do best of the rest.
