Idee De Garde ran in a Grade 2 at Haydock in January after finishing second at Newcastle on his hurdling debut. Fitness is unlikely to be an issue and he should be winning soon but ROBADDAN could make a winning start for Charlie Mann. Second twice in bumpers in Ireland in June for Declan Queally, he earlier won a point-to-point so the switch to hurdles shouldn’t be a problem. Steady Away finished ahead of Ashfield Paddy when second to Mason Jar over track and trip last month but the form is nothing special but Connect Four is open to further improvement after a third at Chepstow in April.
