Verdict
Joseph O'Brien has had great success in maiden hurdles in recent weeks so it would be no surprise to see a big run from Ligeti, a dual winner on the all-weather. Fort Montagu has been carrying a penalty for his bumper victory, as he does here, and been running well enough to consider along with Glan Y Gors, a winner on the Flat in the UK who has shown potential in two starts over timber. HERMINIO just about deserves the nod as though he has undoubtedly disappointed since arriving from France he produced his best run so far at Kilbeggan last month. Cluan Dara produced his best performance behind Hardback at Sligo but Artiste Celebre, a fine second in a big field at Cork, didn't back that up at Ballinrobe a few days later and was well beaten here on Friday.
