After a good run over 2m at Galway, Coolfighter came here for a 1m4f claimer on Thursday and gained a comfortable victory so it will be a surprise if he's not in the mix. DAYS AHEAD also ran here on Thursday in a 2m7f chase and showed what good form he's in with an easy success. He's a useful performer on the Flat and can make his weight advantage tell and take this. Fire Belt has yet to win on the Flat but showed his turn wasn't far off with a very good second to Back Off Mate at Sligo. Glasson Lad ran poorly over hurdles at Downpatrick during the week so the veterans Beau Michael and Head Waiter may have more of a chance.
