Verdict

Highway To Heaven was winning for just the second time in 31 starts when tackling an extended 1m1f at Gowran on Wednesday but doesn't look the type to follow up. CLIARA battled on gamely to score over 1m5f at Ballinrobe and though 5lb higher Simon Torrens' claim more than makes up for the extra and a double looks on the cards. Amlad is running well enough at this level but is on a very long losing run and has gone up in the weights again. Baron Samedi didn't show much in three starts last year but caught the eye over a trip too short at Gowran and is one to note in the market. Pineapple Express finished just in front of him that day but had run twice in previous weeks so should have had a fitness advantage.
