Verdict

A contest for horses who have never been placed in the first three under any rules of racing. Rathgearan showed improved form in a bumper here in August and is a half-brother to two winning jumpers while She Is A Contender, a winner between the flags, attracted support when fourth in a Perth handicap where she didn't stay 2m4f. Eternal Story didn't perform badly in a Navan maiden before a fair run in a bumper at Roscommon but Brog Ban Espana was beaten a long way on her hurdling bow on the same track. GAELIC DES CHASTYS was in the lead at this trip before fading when tackling a 2m4f handicap at Clonmel so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him hang on.
