The answer to this race possibly lies in Gallik Dawn while Tommy Carson, Gola Supreme and Stand Easy are others to also consider. This is quite a tricky race but Gallik Dawn ran well at Hereford last time from a four-pound lower mark which, of course, was an improved effort. The fact that he comes here in good heart and Mick Fitzgerald has been booked for the ride seems to augur well for his hopes. Tommy Carson is just a pound above the mark from which he won in October, which brings him into the mix if he is sharp enough following a two-month break, while Stand Easy, despite having been raised six pounds for his course and distance win last time, could also go well as he has proven that he acts around here, although, ideally, softer going would serve him better. Gola Supreme was second from today's mark over course and distance last time, so he has to be afforded respect, while Maybe Seven is also a course winner, but he has been disappointing since that effort, Over Zealous is well-weighted on his very best form, although he hasn't won since December 2003, and the lightly-raced Romantic Hero looked promising a couple of years ago, but has not been seen since November 2003. Overall, then, this spins us back to the selection, which is Gallik Dawn.
