In depth

Verdict

Ballybolley was all out to win at Southwell and this looks a lot more competitive. So Oscar won over course and distance in November but hasn't been seen since while winning pointer Thedrinkymeister makes his debut under Rules, though McCoy takes the ride and he can't be ignored. Gamain also arrives on the back of a win between the flags while newcomer War On The Rocks, a full brother to the useful Victor Leudorum, should be monitored for any market support but WESTERN DIVA would almost certainly have been placed again at Warwick had she not clipped heels and fallen. David Pipe's mare deserves a change of luck and could cap a successful day for jockey Tom Scudamore.
