In depth

Verdict

The Shirley Hunt, Amaretto Rose and Riodan are three against the field in this bumper and the vote is given to The Shirley Hunt. The selection is a Rakaposhi King mare, half-sister to winning bumper/hurdler The Mick Weston and will not need to be anything special to make a winning debut. Amaretto Rose rates the main danger as she hails from a yard that does well in this sphere and this Alflora mare out of a once-raced mare should be closely watched in the market. Riodan was a fair second on his debut behind The Sparron Hawk but that form has since been let down and even though she is sure to improve she may be vulnerable to a less exposed type. Of the remainder Maryscross has shown a modicum of ability but has shaped as if she would be suite by further and in a race where the market will be informative for the winner we return to The Shirley Hunt.
