In depth

Verdict

Ammunition just got the better of Prophete De Guye over C&D last time but is 5lb higher in the weights today. He was also a long way behind NOUN DE LA THINTE over a similar trip on heavy ground at Lingfield last season. Venetia Williams' mare did nothing wrong on her latest start at Newbury when making the in-form Sarde pull out all the stops and can open her account for the season here. Rustarix unseated his rider in that Newbury race but had won at Cheltenham earlier and can't be ignored, while Bobby Gee won over a longer trip at Lingfield last time and is another to consider. Rate Of Knots should strip fitter for an outing at Bangor and may be the pick of the remainder.
