Verdict

CELESTIAL MAGIC is the only course and distance winner having won this a year ago from the same mark. He ran a bit better at Uttoxeter last time and can complete a long-range double. Walsingham Grange made all at Bangor last month but couldn't handle a 7lb rise at Huntingdon and is tried in a visor. Gregarious completed a Sandown double when landing a better race than this a year ago but has failed to make any impression over fences and is back over timber. Thats My Rabbit returned from a long break to score at Uttoxeter in December 2015 and has an even longer absence to contend with this time. Billy Hicks completed a double at this time at this time last year and his two recent runs should have brought him to concert pitch while Llantara ran her best race to date at Uttoxeter last month and would have to be considered on that form.
