Shady Glen is a much better chaser than hurdler but is rated 13lb lower over the smaller obstacles. Plantagenet is unbeaten since joining Seamus Mullins and the stiff track should bring his stamina into play but we still prefer SHANKSFORAMILLION. Debra Hamer has transformed this formerly modest novice and Richard Patrick has been on board for all three of his wins this summer at Worcester. He may just handle today’s going a little better than his likely market rivals. Charlie Papa Lima went close at Southwell in June but hasn’t threatened in three subsequent outings.
