In depth

Verdict

The Hague was a consistent performer on the Flat and should make a hurdler but experience can count here. Buddy Holly made a promising start over timber at Wetherby and was taking on better company at Newbury next time. Winning point-to-pointer Fairview Sue ran well in a Market Rasen bumper in April and can make progress as can Tippering, who is from a very strong family of jumpers and has had a couple of runs to put him straight. PATEESE, who scored on the Flat at Longchamp in 2009, has shown real potential over timber for Philip Hobbs and will be very difficult to beat however. He ran a race full of promise when third to Minella Class at Newbury last month and the winner could hardly have advertised the form any better when landing the Grade 1 Tolworth at Sandown on Saturday.
