Verdict

Bob Mountain is selected ahead of Im Spartacus and Visibility. The selection couldnt be more different from his sibling, Earth Summit as he loved the mud, but with David Arbuthnot making a good start with the George Ward runners, it would be no surprise to see him go close. I'm Spartacus landed his debut over hurdles and the former smart flat performer can still be regarded as being very much unexposed at the winter game. Visibility had looked to have lost his way before obliging in a lady riders' seller. Consistency isnt his strong suit but he does appear to relish the uphill finish at Towcester. Tashkandi proved easy to back on his return from absence and it was too far out to tell what he was showing, when crashing out at just the second flight. Twist Bookie continues to knock on the door at this level and had been in fair nick on the all-weather during the winter. Front runner, Ausone, has been another to take his chances on the sand and makes a return to the turf this afternoon. Of the remainder, Upright Ima is invariably far away and handles the surface but for the winner, we return to Bob Mountain.
