      Verdict

      DESERT JOE made a successful racecourse debut in a point-to-point at Maisie Park in the spring on the same day that Wind And Waves finished a promising second between the flags at Great Trethew. Both are now with powerful NH yards but the former is just preferred on this occasion. Chac Du Cadran already has experience under Rules having finished a decent second at Wetherby last month. He is unlikely to be far away here while there is probably more to come from Inner Steel and Kitchen Loan.
