Crank Hill had a confidence-boosting win over hurdles at Exeter last month and is probably better handicapped than stablemate Ballyegan. Atherstone Hill got off the mark over C&D recently but may be worth opposing under a penalty in this more competitive affair, while veterans Victory Gunner and Woodlands Genpower could get outpaced by their younger rivals. Hobb's Dream made giant strides last month but the handicapper has reacted accordingly and Neil Mulholland's mare has never won in this grade. Lavenoak Lad could play a part, however, and is preferred to the out-of-form Ayemdee but the vote goes to GLEBEHALL BAY. The eight-year-old had kicked clear when falling three out at Taunton two weeks ago and races off the same mark here - he deserves a change of luck.
