In depth

Verdict

Montecorvino gets the confident vote here with Make My Hay and Najca De Thaix rating the main dangers. The selection won well last time out when beating Ballybawn House with plenty in hand and although he has a penalty for that win he won with plenty in hand and the second has since franked the form and under similar conditions here he is taken to defy the handicapper. Make My Hay rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Tech Eagle but he was all out on that occasion and his penalty may just find him out. Najca De Thaix is another that could go well as he is very well weighted on his best form and with this faster surface in his favour he should be closely monitored in the market. Alessandro Severo would have chances on his best form but he was very disappointing for no apparent reason last time so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Wenger is another from a yard in form and could go well at a price but consistency is not his strong point and for the winner we return to Montecorvino who looked impressive last time out.
