The Antarctic made a winning debut here, with subsequent winner Treasure Trove behind, before beating Mehmar when odds-on at Naas then finding fast going against him in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot. A line through Mehmar gives LADY TILBURY a slight edge as she beat that rival over this track and trip before finding Ascot’s Queen Mary too tough. Wodao has twice finished close up behind The Antarctic while Excelia got off the mark at Naas a week ago but Smullen’s Pride really caught the eye in third and may be capable of reversing the form.
