Verdict

Three-year-olds have won the last two of these so both Dawn Mirage, a comfortable Gowran maiden winner, and Aimhirgin Lass, who landed a Killarney maiden on soft ground last month, are respected despite big weights. Reckless Lad invariably goes well at this level and ran another good race at Cork after his victory at Killarney but Johann Bach has been handed an 8lb rise for his victory at Gowran. BRIBE THE BOUNCER (NAP) battled on to gain a last-gasp victory over a mile at the Galway Festival then finished strongly when dropped to 7f at the same meeting two days later. This trip and ground should be ideal so he can get back to winning ways. War Anthem wasn't too far behind the selection in the first of those Galway races and could run into a place here.
