Despite carrying a pound overweight, A Star Is Born finished ahead of the equally disappointing Teocht at the Curragh earlier this month but had earlier finished a place behind ROMAN ROMANCE over a shorter distance at Gowran. The latter appears more straightforward and appeared to stay the trip when fourth at Galway subsequently, a length and a half ahead of Alkali. John Oxx's filly has a good chance of getting off the mark today. Lady Rutherford didn't run badly on debut at Tramore and a repeat performance should see her in the frame again.
