Simply A Breeze was a 25/1 chance on her belated debut on soft ground at the Curragh in September but stayed on strongly and her rider's claim is a bonus. Bestrella had shown potential in two runs in October and reappeared last week with a neck defeat at Gowran where she led until headed right on the line. GIN BLOSSOM made such an impression when runner-up on her debut at the Curragh, when Bestrella was 5l behind, that she started odds-on back there a couple of weeks later but found Lemista too strong. The winner won a Group 3 next time so Joseph O'Brien's charge can get off the mark. Her stable companion Amarantha is a half-sister to the very smart Ansgar so should be kept on the right side as should Koola Buala, a staying-on fourth in a huge field at the Curragh in August. Sunday Sweet has a fine pedigree and made a good impression in two strong maidens last season so looks the main threat.
