This is a cracking Grade 3 contest to start proceedings. San Salvador seeks a three-timer and The Names Jock impressed when making a winning hurdle debut at Listowel recently. Il Courra only landed an ordinary Kilbeggan contest but did it well enough and Willie Mullins looks to be unloading the bigger guns with both Purple Mountain and easy Sligo winner Arctic Warrior representing the yard. The latter is a narrow preference of that pair but ANNIE G already has the form in the book, having landed a Listed contest at Galway, and sets a solid form standard.
Arctic Warrior (GER) 1-4fav (11-6) Tracked leader and ran freely, 2nd after 6th, not fluent at 7th, challenged leader 2 out, soon led, asserted travelling well before last, kept on well, eased closing stages, easily, won at Sligo 2m 4f mdn Yielding in Aug beating Moakland (11-6) by 11l, 9 ran.
