Willie Mullins has suffered a couple of unexpected reversals over the past few days but IL ETAIT TEMPS can make a winning start over fences here. A Grade 1 winner over timber and twice runner-up to Facile Vega at the highest level, he will be expected to take high rank among novice chasers this season. Monbeg Park also looks a nice chasing prospect as he was a winner between the flags and of a bumper and gained his second success over hurdles at Punchestown in April - he has a chaser‘s pedigree. Aspire Tower had some smart hurdlers behind when runner-up to Sharjah in the Grade 1 Matheson at Leopardstown in December 2020 before finishing fourth in the Champion Hurdle. He was returning from a 902-day break here last month which will have blown the cobwebs away. The selection‘s stablemate Ho My Lord may prove best of the remainder.
