    Verdict

Chaparral Dream started favourite over an extended 1m1f on yielding ground at Gowran on Tuesday but never looked like losing his maiden tag. Solomons Seal ran over this trip at the same fixture but couldn't get involved despite only being up 4lb from his victory there last week when he had Althib behind. The latter is better suited by this much quicker ground and can reverse the form though PATH OF SILVER can carry her big weight to victory. She's consistent and has won from higher marks than this and the ground won't be a problem. Alwarda is still a maiden but hasn't performed badly and can't go much lower in the ratings.
