Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler Fernhurst Lad has looked in need of his two recent runs and travelled well for a long way at Ballinrobe last time. Jack Bene pulled up on his only start over fences but looks certain to do better while Spot Fine progressed nicely over hurdles and has always looked a chaser in the making, a remark that also applies to the lightly-raced Sweeney Tunes. Winning point-to-pointer Boss Croaker beat a huge field over hurdles at Cork and is another potentially decent chaser but BRIDGETS PET looks the one to be on. A dual winning bumper, he was placed in two Grade 2's over timber and made a very encouraging debut over fences at Ballinrobe where he would have finished much closer but for being badly impeded at the second last. Compensation awaits here though the likes of Ballinahow Lady and The Westener Boy make this an intriguing contest.
